Why use iCloud with Bee Invoicing?

  1. Backup Your data is stored on your personal iCloud Drive and will be available on any Mac or Apple device that you are logged into, and that has Bee Invoicing installed. This is an extra fail-safe that can be used in conjunction with your regular Time Machine backups.
  2. Sync with your Mac & mobile devices Share data across Apple devices. Please note, you must be logged in using the same iCloud account on each device.

How it works

  1. iCloud syncing happens automatically whenever a record is changed, when you open the app, close it etc. You don’t need to do anything.
  2. Syncing occurs in the background so you can continue working and updating records in Bee Invoicing while a sync is taking place.

Turning on iCloud for Bee Invoicing

  1. Ensure that you are logged into iCloud on your device . You must also have iCloud Drive turned on and Bee Invoicing checked in the iCloud Drive list (see Settings/iCloud).
  2. In the app go to Preferences and turn on the iCloud switch.
  3. Please note that when you are turning on iCloud for the first time, it may take a minute to sync your data to iCloud. After this first sync, any changes you make in Bee Invoicing should sync super fast!

How to sync with another Apple computer or device

  1. Follow the steps above to turn on iCloud on each computer/device. They must each be logged into the same iCloud accout for syncing to occur.
  2. As above, when a new device or computer has iCloud turned on, the first sync may take a minute to sync to iCloud and to any other devices.
  3. After turning on iCloud on both devices, you may need to close and reopen Bee Invoicing for a full sync between devices to occur for the first time.
  4. Important! When you are syncing across devices, all data will be merged. If you have identical Items on both devices, then you will end up with duplicate Items after the first sync. So you will need to clean up your duplicates either before or after syncing.

Data security

  1. When iCloud is in use, the data is stored on your personal iCloud Drive. We at Bee Invoicing have no access to your data, as it is stored only on your account and locally on your device.

Turning off iCloud for Bee Invoicing

Delete iCloud Data

  1. If you are having an issue with using iCloud with Bee Invoicing then you can delete iCloud data in Preferences by tapping the “Delete iCloud Data” button. This will remove all data from iCloud (for your device and any other computers or devices linked to it). Your local data will not be affected.
